Love is not rational, it's unconditional.

As our life gets more digital and global our relationship with
time and distance changes.
The modern technology was designed to make things faster,
but actually it seems to be just stealing all our time.
Globalization has been embraced to bring the nations together,
but it has divided the world even more. Borders, restrictions,
exclusive elitism make it more difficult and less desirable
to get to know others who are different from us.
We should not agree to run faster , but learn to think slower.

Endless Opinions

People don’t know what they want. Mt.11:16-19

They don’t know what they are doing. Lk. 23:34

And they don’t know what they are talking about. Acts 19:32

Yet, they seem to know extremely well

what everybody else should be doing.

When Liars Speak To Liars

The unlimited amount of information can be so intimidating

and overwhelming. This has become an important

factor in our decision making.

If you have no time nor desire to check out the reliability

of your source of information, you either close your eyes again

or just continue emptying the ocean with a tea spun and spend

your days in angry frustrated depression.

“Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.” Ps.119:89

Don't let your world shrink.

Subjectivity is not a sin, but in international politics

it always leads to a disastrous paranoia.

It’s so healthy to continue having good friends who keep

you in line. Getting rid of friends like that is a bad mistake.

Christ took our guilt.

You cannot balance guilt, not by punishing yourself,
not by working more for others.
Total forgiveness is the only answer.
"For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us,
that we might become the righteousness of God in Him."
II Cor. 5:21

Faith in Christ brings quality.

Living faith motivates us

to study more,

to work better;

to forgive more,

to think clearer;

to trust more,

to wait longer.

A nation without faith will just get

angrier and angrier.

We Need Words

When our words don't agree with our life-style,
they become just noise pollution.
Yet, words are often the only tools to love,
forgive and rebuild relationships.

Let's share our passwords and pin codes with everybody.

I overheard a conversation in the tram when a mom was teaching

her little daughter, “Those pin codes and passwords are actually

something that we should never tell others.”

The girl answered innocently,” Why not? ”

The daughter would be a much better negotiator for world peace

than the mother.

Innocence is not a synonym for naivety.

Is OK really that OK?

If everything in my daily life works perfectly without faith,

I have finally managed to establish my identity as a carnal believer.

Without A Meaning All Pain Seems To Be Wasted

Pain is a supernatural thing.

It cannot be fully controlled by man, and

it cannot be fully understood by man.

It’s not easy to listen to somebody’s pain.

However, a part of pain’s meaning is

discovered when it can be shared, when it

finds someone who has the time and the interest

to listen.

Restore It Again And Again. Don't Stop!

Restoration in relationships is an attitude that we cannot afford to loose.

Quality Takes Time

I was told that the word average comes from Arabic ‘awariya 

which means damaged merchandise.

In Russian it means an accident. If average similarity is our standard,

we can as well just let all the others do the job.

When Handicaps Get Out Of Hands

We all have learned to co-exist with our handicaps.

And when they get out of hands,

it’s wonderful to receive help from others.

Beyond Blind Submission

Prayer is not about control, it’s about availability.

It’s the highest level of personal communication

that God has with individual believers.

When God answers in secrecy the world reacts in frustration

as they cannot put their price tag on it.

Seeing Beyond Ourselves

I've noticed that happy people talk very little about themselves,
but people who talk little about themselves are not necessarily happy.

One Thing Is Needed

So many places to visit, but only in the church you can hear,
"Your sins are forgiven."

No Strings Attached, Small Text, Fast, Painless Solutions

You cannot say you love someone if you don’t even know their name?

Love is much more sophisticated than that.

Jesus told us to continue in love.

This kind of  love demands a lot of trials and a long time.

We cannot truly evangelize people without loving them, unconditionally,
continually. That's one of the greatest test for our theology.

Why waste your time in prayer, just google it!

I googled “ Is Santa Claus real ” and got 30 200 000 results in 0,40 seconds.

There might be no truth there , but it definitely would occupy my mind for

the rest of my life.

We google people, companies, recipes and history. We check out our sicknesses

and theology, filling in the blanks from our neglected education. We are busy.

If we feel that Google has replaced our prayers, we always can google

“How to get back my prayer life that Google stole?”

We’ll get 4 2000 000 results in 0,56 seconds.

Treasure Hunt

You can organize all garbage perfectly;

You can put numbers on it, decorate it with

famous names in golden letters;

You can call it tradition or science, you can even call it good;

You can put price tags on it and spray it with perfumes;

You can have a lot of it, much more than your neighbors;

You can talk about it in 7 star hotels and write agreements

about moving it from one end of the earth to the other,

but it will , all the same, continue to be just garbage,

unable to save one single nation beyond the cemetery.

Without spiritual values man on his best is just a heap

of garbage moving himself from one disaster to another.

Jesus said,

“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth

and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal;

but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither

moth nor rust destroys and

where thieves do not break in and steal.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” 

Mt.6:19-21

Paintings Speak

A good painting is not just a picture. It’s an event,

a relationship to be embraced or rejected.

It’s communication that has to be learned.

Otherwise you‘ll only see colors and shapes

that randomly landed next to one another in

so called evolution.

An inspiring painting is one of the greatest

testimonies against Darwinism.

Anytime

When there is no time to think , 

no time to plan, no time to pray,

it’s time to stop everything and wait for God.

He has been waiting for you.

Sure Hope

Without the assurance of resurrection all religion is just

endless talking. It offers no hope.

The stench of death is everywhere.

Jesus said, “I am the Resurrection and the Life.

He who believes in me shall never die.”

Broken but Useful

What a bold thought, to think about ourselves as vessels of God.

Aren't we like Mary, exclaiming, “How can this be!”

God continues to use broken vessels.

The more broken the vessel is the better it works for his invisible purpose.

It’s comforting to know that God doesn't throw away broken things.

He continues to use us against all odds.

Doing Nothing

Doing nothing is sometimes the best way to deal with situations,

but it is a devastating attitude as a life-style.

God’s patience is the most powerful support that we could ever find

even though it seems like nothing is happening.

Have a strong will !

God doesn't want to crush our will. He strengthens it

by allowing trials and temptations in our life.

Often you are the only person who really knows what

you should do.

Without a strong will, defined by God’s Word, we

become victims of our circumstances like

the rest of the fallen race.
